Uldale Fells

We thought we'd stay Back O' Skiddaw today, most schools are back but there are still plenty of folk about in the more touristy areas. So we parked at Peterhouse Farm

and headed across the fields

Up the Cumbria Way, past Dash Falls - you can see the track leading up past the falls ahead of us

Then we headed into the heather on the slopes of Great Calva

Not the true summit of Great Calva, but nearly. This one has a handy fence post to put the camera on for a selfie.

From Great Calve we made our way across onto Knott and then headed for Great Sca Fell. From here you can see our route ahead, over the lump on the right, then the one on the left and then the one in the middle! That's Great Sca Fell, Meal Fell and Great Cockup if you want the names.

Walking up onto Meal Fell. Easy walking. The weather was perfect and we had hardly seem anyone

Skiddaw from the back

We head along the track to Horsemoor Hills before joining the road to make our way back to the car
10.7 miles in perfect conditions with only a few other people around. Pure bliss.
