Returning the Favour at Buttermere

Mum and Dad are up for a visit, and as a circuit Buttermere used to be a regular childhood walk, we thought it might go down well if we did it again. So after a dentists appointment in keswick, followed by lunch at The Bridge in Buttermere village, we set off around the lake (or in it, which ever you prefer).

It was lovely as we walked through the trees of Burtness Wood, the only sheltered part of the walk
Then out into the open as Breeze makes her way towards High Crag.
With that, the heavens opened and we had a series of heavy hail and rain storms all the way round. No more pictures, but a welcome cuppa when we got back to the village, and then homeward bound.
