Bog Hopping On The Dodds

This weeks walk has been delayed. Monday was a bank holiday - you won't get us out of the village for fear of bumping into crowds, Tuesday and Wednesday the forecast failed to deliver, so eventually we aimed for today. The weather started out pretty well. The odd shower as we drove the few minutes it took to get to our starting point. We headed across Matterdale common, with Blencathra on our right towards Great Dodd, our main target of the day.
Matterdale common is a really wet, boggy spot. It seemed to be quite popular with the four legged member of the party.
Just after thei picture, as we headed higher, we headed into cloud. No summit photo, no photos as we headed from Great Dodd to Calfhow Pike, infact no visibilty at all until we dropeed back out of the cloud as we followed Mosedale beck

Until we reached the Old Coach Road and followed this back across Groove beck at the ford
                                                             "What you looking at?"
and returned to our starting point at High Row. A total of about 8.5 miles(for us), Breeze's longest walk yet (a good deal more than 8.5 for her).
