Souther Fell

Breeze's paws are well on the road to recovery - but we're being cautious so it's boots all round today as we head into Bannerdale

The usual whirling Dervish as we set off

Our route ahead

The boots don't slow her at all

But sheep ahead so she stays close while we pass through them

New Bridge at Mousethwaite - the old one was washed away in Storm Desmond

Sharp Edge in the background

Heading onto Souther Fell

Western Fells behind us as we climb

Bannerdale Crags and Blencathra off to our left as we make our way across the top of Souther

Jay is with us today - her first fell walk since last autumn due to our enforced absence.

On the way down back to Mungrisdale
Just short of 5 miles and a nice gentle walk to get Jay back into the swing of things!
