Little Meldrum twice, Gowbarrow and Green Hill

We haven't done much fell walking for ages, but today is too good to miss and we are joined by Jay for a short walk. None of us can afford the whole day,so we stay close to home, parking at The Hause and making it up from there

Blencathra. If you follow the news you may have heard that the sale of this mountain is finally coming to a conclusion. We will (hopefully) soon be the proud joint owners of a very, very small bit of it!

We are walking down the right of this wood and over Little Meldrum behind the wood, then up Gowbarrow, the dark lumpy fell beyond

Back over the style to Little Meldrum and then back to the car
Gowbarrow is so handy from home, and for a little walk (5.5 miles today) it has the most amazing views, especially in weather like this!
